Hosta 'Puck'

Mark Zilis of Illinois registered this tissue culture sport of H. 'Just So' in 2003. It forms a small size hosta about 9 inches high that spreads to 19 inches in width. The slightly corrugated leaves have good substance. Pale lavender flowers bloom in late June.

Puck is a clever, mischievous elf or sprite that personifies the trickster or the wise knave in Shakespeare's play, A Midsummer Night's Dream...or it could be the piece of hard rubber used in the sport of ice hockey.
