Zilis of Illinois, this
hybrid of H. 'Sea Lotus Leaf' × H. kikutii leuconata
was registered in 2003. It is semi-upright in form and grows
into a large size hosta about
20 inches high and 43 inches wide. The pale lavender flowers
bloom starting in August.
The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by
Grenfell (2009) states: "Site in moderate shade to retain the wonderful
blue coloring of the leaf. Rapid growth rate...The veins are so deeply impressed
that they resemble corduroy fabric. Both the raceme and the scape have long,
white, leafy bracts."
