Hosta 'Viking Ship'

Originated by Ray Weigand of Michigan and registered on his behalf by Registrar, Gayle Hatley Alley for The American Hosta Society in 2019, this giant size (33 inches high by 60 inches wide) cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Komodo Dragon'. It is a "frosty" greenish-blue (119C RHS Color Chart) hosta with leaves that are slightly shiny on top, broadly ovate, slightly convexly cupped and slightly corrugated with cuspidate tips. White flowers bloom from June into July on scapes up to 44 inches tall followed by viable seeds.

The registration materials state: "...Visually stunning with large upright presentation...turns grayish olive green (NN137A) by late June."
