This cultivar is listed as a Tardiana-type descended from H. 'Dorset Blue'. It is a non-registered hosta from Dr. Ralph (Herb) Benedict of Michigan. The small size, dense mound grows to a height of about 6 inches with a spread of 10 inches. Its foliage is heart shaped, somewhat cupped and moderately corrugated. The bluish lavender flowers bloom in mid-August.
