Hosta 'Pin Stripe'

This hybrid is the result of a cross of a sibling to H. 'William Lachman' × H. 'Frances Williams' which was registered by Dr. Kevin Vaughn of Massachusetts in 1983. It grows into a large size hosta about 23 inches high with a spread of 46 inches and has streaked foliage. The leaves are a bit wavy, corrugated and have good substance. It bears very pale lavender flowers in July.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "This is another of Kevin Vaughn's great breeding plants. A significant proportion of its seedlings are variegated, making it a popular choice among hosta breeders."

"Plant is a sister seedling of H. 'Formal Attire'."
