Hosta takiensis
aka Taki Gibōshi

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...native to Kyoto Island, Japan... smooth, shiny green foliage in a 12" high mound with white to pale purple flowers in September...This is an extremely rare species..."

The Genus Hosta by W. George Schmid (1991), describes this plant as being a medium size hosta about 12 inches high with a spread of 14 to 18 inches. The leaves are broadly ovate to ovate, smooth and shiny green on top. Its flowers are white on the outside with suffused pale purple on the inside. They have yellow, purple dotted anthers and bloom in September.
