Hosta montana ovatolancifolia

This naturally occurring variation of the species H. montana is from Japan. It is a large size (28 inches high by 78 inches wide) plant with green foliage hat is deeply veined, moderately wavy with a moderately lobed leaf base. W. George Schmid (1991) created this name based on the leaf shape of this hosta which is narrower than that of the species. Very pale lavender, funnel shape flowers bloom in July with bracts on the flower scape after the flower opens.
