Hosta plantaginea
var. japonica
aka Tama-no-Kanzashi

This is a naturally occurring variety of the species H. plantaginea from China which has been cultivated in Japan for a long time. It has narrower leaves than the species with wavy foliage. The petals on the fragrant white flowers are also narrower. It blooms from August into September.

In an article in The Hosta Journal (2016 Vol. 47 No 2), the author described this plant's flowers as having a "Very Strong" fragrance compared to other hostas.
