Rats in the landscape? I hope not. Anyway, about the only time you would see regular rats around the landscape is if you put the wrong stuff into your compost bin. Remember that backyard compost should only be made from waste vegetation i.e. trimmings, dead plants, etc. Sure meat, bones and animal waste products will compost but in the backyard situation, they are also likely to draw unwanted vermin to the pile including...rats!
