As the name implies, this cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Elegans'. It is a non-registered cultivar originated by Van Wade of Wade and Gatton Nursery (Closed 2019) of Ohio. It forms a giant size clump of rich blue foliage that is moderately corrugated and has thick substance.
