This cultivar is part of the H. 'Tardiana' Group of hostas developed by
Eric Smith
in England in the 1960's. It was registered in 1990 by
Peter Ruh as a
cross between H. 'Tardiflora'
and Hosta sieboldiana 'Elegans'.
The
plant forms a medium sized (16 inches high) mound and has near white to pale
lavender flowers in mid-August to September. Its foliage is
slightly wavy and corrugated with thick substance.
