Hosta 'Heartleaf'

An H. nakaiana seedling, this cultivar was registered in 1971 by Eunice V. Fisher of Wisconsin. The mound is about 19 inches high and 4 feet wide with leaves that may be cupped either up or down. It has medium lavender flowers in mid-July.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...still one of the best for flower effect when used as a ground cover."
