This cultivar is a hybrid of two unnamed seedlings which grows to about 15 inches high and spreads to 40 inches wide. It was registered in 2004 by Mary Chastain of Lakeside Acres Nursery in Tennessee. Lavender flowers bloom starting in late July.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...listed as a sibling to 'Lakeside Breaking News'...meaning that it is also a hybrid of "Adidison Seedling LBSR" x H. hypoleuca."
