Hosta 'Rhapsody'

This cultivar which was originated by Handy Hatfield of Ohio is, according to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "listed as a sport of 'Fortunei Stenantha Variegated'..." aka H. 'Fool's Gold'. It was registered in 2009 on behalf of Handy by Kevin Walek (Hosta Registrar).

'Rhapsody' forms a large size (24 inches high by 55 inches wide), semi-upright mound of green foliage with a white marginal variegation. The leaves are slightly rippled, ovate and has deep veins. Pale lavender, funnel shaped flowers open in July.

The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009) comments, "...'Rhapsody' has been greatly underrated."
