Hosta 'Show Stopper'

This is one of those cases where there are several hostas with the same name. None are registered with The American Hosta Society. The first one to be registered would become the "official" hosta of that name and the others would have to be renamed.

This is a non-registered cultivar from Rob Claeys of Michigan which is a hybrid of H. hypoleuca x H. plantaginea. It is a medium size plant with shiny, bright green foliage and very purple flowers.

This seedling selection of unidentified parentage is from Randy Goodwin of Indiana. It is a medium size hosta with gold foliage that has a creamy white marginal variegation. The leaves are narrowly ovate in shape.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), there is a third cultivar by this name of unidentified origin and background. It is a medium size plant that resembles H. 'Yellow Splash' and H. 'Neat Splash'.
