This white-edged form of H. 'Kabitan' is a non-registered cultivar from Japan. It forms a mound about 16 inches tall by 40 inches wide. The foliage is elliptic to lanceolate, wavy, has smooth texture and average substance. Its funnel shaped flowers bloom in August.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...has started to look more and more like 'Ginko Craig' or something very similar. 'Silver Halo' shows no similarities to 'Kabitan', though it has been listed as a sport of it."
