Hosta 'Snow Mound Variegated'

This non-registered cultivar is a white margined sport of H. 'Snow Mound' that was found by Alex J. Summers of Delaware in the late 1960s. It grows into a medium size (11 inches high) mound and puts on pure white flowers in August.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "With a better name, this plant would have seem much greater popularity. It offers an attractive show of white flowers in August over a dense mound of white-edged foliage."
