This slow growing cultivar is an open-pollinated seedling of H. 'Tokudama Aureonebulosa' which was registered by Gretchen Harshbarger of Iowa in 1981. The large size mound grows to 22 inches in height and 55 inches in width with foliage that is broadly ovate with a deeply lobed base. Its very pale lavender blossoms open beginning from late June into July.
