Hosta 'White Swan'

This is a self-pollinated seedling of H. 'Beatrice' which was registered by Dr. Ralph (Herb) and Dorothy Benedict of Michigan in 1995. It forms a small size plant with green foliage that has a white medial (center) variegation. White flowers bloom in August.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...out of the same mother plant as 'White Dove'. In a few hosta collections this name has been applied to plants with white-margined, green-centered leaves. Most likely those plants were 'White Dove'."
