Hollyhock

This genus of around 60 species consists of annuals, biennials and herbaceous perennials. Most are native to parts of Asia and Europe.

Hollyhocks are one of those traditional plants grown in gardens for a long time. The major drawback to this genus comes in areas were Japanese beetles are present. They seem to love chewing on the leaves resulting in a skeletonized appearance.
