Giant Hogweed

This genus of about 60 species consists of herbaceous biennials and herbaceous perennials. They are members of the Carrot Family (Apiaceae) and have the typical umbel shaped flower heads. Most of the types come from temperate zones of the Northern Hemisphere and in mountainous areas further south.
