Broadly pyramidal with horizontal branches.
50 to 75 feet high by 25 to 35 feet in spread. Slow to medium growth rate.
Inconspicuous, monoecious.
 
One half to 1 inch long and about 1/16 inch wide, flattened, gradually tapering to the base, notched; upper surface dark green, shining, grooved; lower surfaces with 2 conspicuously broad white bands of stomata.
 
 
Reddish brown to brown with short pubescence.
Cones are sessile, cylindrical and about 2 to 3 inches long. They are bluish purple when young before turning brown.
