12 inches tall flowering bulb which will colonize over time.
The vivid yellow, star-shaped flowers are borne in a loose umbel atop a tall peduncle.
Mid to late spring.
The leaves are arranged in twos. They are basal, lanceolate, narrowed at both ends of the leaf. The glaucous leaves are ˝-1˝ wide and 12 inches long.
Full sun in a well-drained soil makes for easy culture of this bulb.
No serious problems.
 

The bright yellow flowers will brighten up any spring border. It can also be used in a naturalized area where the bulbs will colonize.
