The deep blue to white flowers are pedicelled and are borne solitary in an elongated terminal or axillary raceme. The 5 lobed corolla is broadly campanulate and 1˝ wide. The calyx lobes are acuminate, entire and half as long as the corolla.
Late spring to early summer
Alternate rosette leaves are oblong-lanceolate, to 8 inches long, entire, to crenate margin, glabrous stem leaves linear to linear-lanceolate, 3-4 inches long, often sessile to the stem.
