Hybrid Origin - Georgia, Florida and Mississippi - United States

Broadly rounded with an irregular crown shape.
Smaller than C. speciosa, reaching heights of 30 to 40’ with an equal or greater spread
White with 2 ridges and 2 rows of yellow spots and purple spots on the tubes. They are borne in 8 to 10 inch long panicles.
Late May
Whorled or opposite, simple, 4 to 8” (10”) long, 3 to 8” wide. Unpleasant odor when crushed.
 
 
 
6 to 15 inch long capsule.
 
  • 'Aurea' - Yellow leaved form.
  • 'Nana' - Dwarf, bushy form.

 
Not as coarse in texture as other Catalpa species.
