40 to 50’ high, 10 to 20’ spread; can grow 75’ and larger.
monoecious, small but abundant staminate red or yellow flowers and a few pistillate green flowers.
 
Bluish green to glaucous-green with white margins, 1/10 to 1/12” long. Leaves turn brown the second year but persist for several years.
 
 
Branchlets slender, rather irregularly arranged (not flattened), spreading, not decurving, very thin.
Cones on small branchlets, bluish purple in color.
