Sulfur yellow and more numerous than C. mas.
 
Large leaves up to 12 inches long.
 
 
Trunk is smooth and palm-like.
 

 

 

 
Similar to C. officinalis which does not have the whitish pubescence on the underside of the leaves. Differs from C. officinalis and C. mas in that it has black fruit.
