Clump-forming perennial
2-3 feet tall and 18 inches wide
Flowers are large, pendulous and borne in 8-12 inches long terminal racemes. The yellow trumpet-shaped corolla is 2-3 inches long marked with brown on the interior.
Summer
Leaves are alternate, ovate lanceolate to 8 inches long with a serrate margin. The leaves near the base are the largest and they become smaller and sessile as they ascend the stem.
 
Partial shade
  • 'Dropmore YelIow' - Seems to be identical to the species in most respects.
 
Tends to be short-lived in the garden.
