Bright yellow flowers and short reddish spurs - inflorescences rise above the foliage to about 18 inches tall and are quite showy

  • Confused with Epimedium x versicolor
  • Epimedium pinnatum var. colchicum - more commonly grown - fewer leaflets than those of the species (usually 3 or 5) - spurs of the petals are somewhat longer than those of the species. May also be sold as Epimedium colchicum, Epimedium elegans and Epimedium pinnatum elegans.
