Pure white with a
green crescent on all 6 segments
of the perianth where the external segments are
longer than the internal segments. This differs from
Snowflakes (Leucojum
vernum), which are nearly of equal
length. The 1 inch wide, single, drooping
flowers of Snowdrops are borne 1 to a pedicel
while those of Snowflakes are borne in clusters
on the pedicel. |
