Heliopsis helianthoides Ox-Eye aka False Sunflower 3-9 North America   Coarse perennial of dry woods, prairies.       Distinguished from sunflowers, Helianthus, by the opposite leaves, blunt-tipped phyllaries that are surrounding the head and fertile ray flowers.       The specific epithet, helianthoides, means "like a sunflower".
