Multiple-branched, shrubby type plant
3-4 feet tall with a 2 foot spread
White, pink or purple flowers have 4 petals are borne in loose, terminal racemes. A sweet fragrance is evident, especially in the evening.
Late spring to early summer.
The alternate leaves are 2-4 inches long, lanceolate shaped, with fine teeth along the margin. They are sessile or borne on short petioles.
