Hibiscus trionum Flower of an Hour aka Venice Mallow, Modesty, Shoofly     Tropical regions   Annual weed of row crops and waste lands originally introduced as an ornamental plant.   Pale yellow flowers with a purple base bloom - Distinctive fruits are enclosed in an expanded bladder-like calyx. July to September but each flower opens for only a few hours.
