Very narrow, pyramidal habit with a slender trunk and drooping branches with the tips curved upwards.
50-60 feet tall with a spread of 20-25 feet
Plants are monoecious.
 
Needles are ½-¾ inch long, flat, keeled on both sides, lustrous dark green above, with prominent, bluish-white stomata lines on the underside.
 
 
 
Cones are purple, not showy. Cones are, 1½-2½ inches long, blue-black when young, ripening to a shining cinnamon-brown.
