Very prostrate
2-3 inches tall with stems trailing to 20 inches.
The golden-yellow flowers ⅜-½ inch wide and borne in a few flowered, loose cymes. Individual flowers have 5 petals, which are obovate.
Mid to late spring.
The stems of this potentilla are prostrate. The leaves are palmately compound with 5 leaflets, sometimes 3. The leaflets are cuneate at the base and have 3-7 teeth on each side. The leaflets are ½-¾ inches long and are pilose on both surfaces.
 
 
  • 'Nana' - YeIlow flowers are slightly larger than the species, 4 inches tall.
