Spindly hush, not terribly vigorous, needing a stake or a wall
5-6 feet tall and 4 feet wide
Single, in a brilliant yellow, 2-3 inches wide and have an unpleasant odor
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
  • var. bicolor - Austrian Copper - brilliant yellow on the face of the flower but is orange-red on the underside of the petals Very susceptible to blackspot.
  • var. persiana - Persian Yellow - Which has double yellow flowers. Very susceptible to blackspot
  • 'Bicolor' - single, coppery-red flowers Not a strong grower
  • 'Persiana - Persian Yellow Rose - double flowers slightly smaller than those of the Austrian Brier, but the abundance of yellow petals make up for their lack in size.
