When
they do surveys regarding which of the primary
(blue, yellow & red) and secondary (violet,
orange, green) is the favorite of gardeners,
orange generally ends up in last place. As you
can see from the list below, perhaps this is due
to the relatively small number of plants with
orange flowers.
Of course, this
does not mean that you should not use orange in
your garden. It does indicate that it should be
used conservatively as a focal point.
In the end, if
you love the color orange, go ahead and fill
your garden with it. Just be aware that others
who visit your garden may not like it as much as
you. But, it is YOUR garden after all.
