In the past couple of decades, ornamental grasses have emerged as the new "in" plant. The number of species and cultivars available have exploded and they are being used more in all types of landscape situations to give a vertical impact.

Grasses are versatile and adapted to many types of site conditions although most of them prefer full sun. They are multiple season plants giving a great display during the summer and then carrying their seedheads to wave in the winter breezes.
