Hosta 'Alex Summers'

A sport of H. 'Gold Regal', this cultivar was registered by Vic Santa Lucia in 1989. It stands 22 inches high and 41 inches wide with lavender flowers in July.

Alex Summers was a noted hybridizer and one of the organizers of The American Hosta Society.

H. 'David Reath' is a similar cultivar and H. 'Summer Olympics' is a gold leafed sport of H. 'Alex Summers'.
