Hosta 'Choo Choo Train'

T. Sears and Tony Avent of Plant Delights Nursery in North Carolina registered this plant of unidentified parentage in 1999. It forms a large size (24 inches high by 72 inches wide) mound which has heavily rippled leaves with a deeply lobed base and a curled tip. Pale lavender flowers appear in July.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "When I first viewed this plant at the 1991 National Convention of The American Hosta Society in North Carolina, I considered it the best gold-leaved piecrust type ever developed. My opinion has not changed."
