Hosta 'Domaine de Courson'

Diana Grenfell of England registered this sport of H. 'Sum and Substance' which was originated by Ignace van Doorslaer of Belgium in 1996. The large size mound grows to around 24 inches in height with a width of 58 inches. Lavender flowers bloom from mid-July into August.

It appears that this cultivar was named for  a chateau on the outskirts of Paris. Each spring, there is a garden show held on the premises which we visited in 2002.

The Hosta Journal (2018 Vol. 49 No. R) states that this cultivar was originally registered as 'Domaine De Courson' which was a typographical error that has now been corrected.
