This cultivar is part
of the Tardiana-type hostas developed by
Eric Smith in
England in the 1960"s. It was registered in 1990 by
Peter Ruh of Ohio as a
cross between H. 'Tardiflora' ×
H. 'Elegans'.
This cultivar is part of the "Dorset
Series" of hostas.
The
plant forms a medium size (16 inches high) mound and has near white to pale
lavender flowers from mid-August into September. Its foliage is
slightly wavy and corrugated with thick substance.
