cultivar; name used for at least two types of hostas, one being
a green-leaved Fortunei with tall scapes, the other a large H. 'Sieboldiana'-type; treated as a synonym for
H. 'Elegans'
by
Schmid (1991).. .The name
H.
fortunei 'Robusta' was used by
Georg Ahrends in 1905 for the plant that eventually became
H. 'Elegans'..."
In 2005, Peter and Jean Ruh
registered this plant (Fortunei type) as H. 'Robust
Giant'.
Seedlings of this cultivar include H. 'Neat
Splash'.
