Hosta 'Foundling'

The parentage of this  cultivar is unknown and it was registered by Peter Ruh of Ohio in 1990 on behalf of the originator, Lucille Simpers of Indiana. The small size, 10 inch high mound has a spread of about 31 inches with wavy leaves with thin substance. It forms semi bell-shaped flowers of bright purple color in August.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "It makes a fairly small size mound of wavy, gold foliage and is rhizomatous. That fact and its flowering habits give evidence that it is a 'Decorata' seedling."
