This cultivar is a sport of H. 'Starker Yellow Leaf' (previously
known as H. 'Aureafolia') that was found by
Gladys Holly and
later obtained by
Eunice V. Fisher.
Peter Ruh
registered this plant on behalf of
Eunice Fischer
in 1998. and has
leaves that are speckled and splotched when they first emerge
similar to H. 'Cynthia'. Near
white flower appear in July.
Similar cultivars include H. 'Cynthia'
and H. 'Wolcott'.
