Hosta 'Kiwi Tease'

This sport of H. 'Striptease' was registered in 2000 as part of the "Kiwi Series" of hostas from Barry Sligh of Taunton Gardens in New Zealand. This cultivar forms a large size (20 inches high) mound of slightly wavy, smooth textured foliage of average substance. It has green and gold leaves with a 3/4 inch wide white marginal variegation. Pale lavender flowers bloom from mid-July to August.

From The Hosta Journal, (2008 Vol. 39 No 1), "Spring finds 'Kiwi Tease' emerging with a soft green center and a wide yellow margin, divided by a flash of white. Through the season, the green center takes on golden-yellow hues and the margin turns creamy white."
