Hosta 'Mary Lou'

Pauline Banyai of Michigan registered this open-pollinated seedling in 1986. The semi upright, giant size mound grows to about 30 inches in height and 6 feet in width. The foliage is deeply lobed at the base, has slightly rippled margins and has twisted tips. It bears very pale lavender flowers in July.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...has many of the characteristics of H. montana, though it lacks its prominent floral bracts.
