Hosta 'Oh Cindy'

Dr. Ralph (Herb) Benedict of Michigan originated this non-registered, stable sport of H. 'Outrageous'. It forms a semi-upright, medium size mound about 14 inches high and 37 inches wide with slightly wavy, slightly corrugated foliage. Pale lavender flowers bloom in late July but are sterile and do not set seed.

The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by Diana Grenfell (2009) states: "Slow to increase but eventually becomes a large hosta. Although the color of the leaf margin varies widely from brilliant, golden yellow to ivory white depending upon light and heat levels and progression of the summer, this large hosta is always attractive and eye catching."

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...essentially a reversed form of 'My Child Insook'..."

Looks as if the specimen shown above has reverted from the marginally variegated type to an all-green.
