Van Wade of Wade and Gatton Nursery (Closed 2019) of Ohio registered this cultivar in 1999 as part of the Richland Series of hostas. It is a sport of H. 'Richland Gold' with a gold center and narrow white marginal variegation.  The large size plant bears pale lavender flowers from mid-July into August.

According to The Hosta Handbook by Mark Zilis (2000), it has a "...slightly different appearance from 'Moonlight'."
