Hosta 'Starboard Light'

Charles Seaver of Delaware registered this hybrid of H. 'Komodo Dragon' in 1994. It forms a vase shaped mound about 21 inches tall by 59 inches wide. The leaves become a brighter gold color as the season progresses. The are ovate, wavy and slightly corrugated. Its lavender flowers bloom from mid-June into July on scapes up to 40 inches tall followed by viable seeds.

The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by Diana Grenfell (2009) states: "...the midrib and veins usually remaining green...The scape is bent near the tip."
